Greece’s Mediterranean climate peaks in July and August, when temperatures can soar to 40 degrees, cooled only by light winds known as ‘meltemia’. Rain is a rare occurrence during the summer and is mostly restricted to the winter months, when temperatures drop to around eight degrees.
