Boston Logan Airport Mini Guide
Boston Logan Airport is situated in East Boston. The airport serves the city of Boston as well as the surrounding New England area. The airport has five terminals and offers tourists a range of amenities including gift shops, news and duty-free shops, restaurants and banking and currency services. Telephones for contacting Boston car rental agencies are situated in Terminal C and E. Car hire desks are located in the American Airlines side of Terminal B, while the US Airways side offers car hire telephones. The airport is located just four miles northeast of Boston, meaning Boston car hire is an excellent option if you plan to see the sights of the city and its surrounding area. If you’re travelling from downtown Boston, take the Callahan Tunnel, then follow the signs for Logan Airport. On the way to the airport you’ll find airport signs indicating the correct terminal for your airline, as well as directions to the car parks. The journey time from Downtown Boston is approximately 20-30 minutes.
Eating Out in Boston
Boston’s cuisine definitely has a flavour of New England about it. Seafood dominates the city’s menus. There’s also an emphasis on rum, salt and dairy products. With Boston car hire you can afford to be choosy about where you eat out. Faneuil Hall is a firm favourite with those looking for a quick bite to eat. Meanwhile, the North End is home to quiet cafés, bakeries and old-fashioned eateries offering tastes and flavours to please any palate.
If you’re hoping to eat out in the city’s South End, you’re strongly advised to book in advance, as the area plays host to some of the most elegant restaurants in Boston.
