Barcelona has a large selection of restaurants and cafés, however as with any major tourist centre, it can often be quite hit and miss, with many eateries in the ‘tourist-trap’ parts of the city offering mediocre food at astronomical prices. Dinner starts late in Barcelona, so don’t be turned off by a place if it is empty at 7 or 8 o’clock – most restaurants don’t fill up until closer to 10pm.
