Car Hire Athens Airport
The city of Athens is named after the Goddess of Wisdom, Athena. Legend has it that she ‘won’ the city after a duel in which she defeated Poseidon. Since ancient times, Athens has been a much-visited destination, but in the past decade the city has enjoyed a huge overhaul with its infrastructure and amenities being radically improved (attributed largely to the cities successful 2004 Olympic bid). This has, obviously, had a positive effect on tourism in the city, and the already booming tourist economy looks set to continue to flourish.
With Athens Car Hire, you can drive to the many spectacular sights in style and comfort – and most importantly, in your own time.

Things to see/do in Athens
Almost everything that is most worth seeing in Athens is within a half hour walk from the Plateia Sindagmatos, the city’s epicenter. Wherever you are in Athens, you are likely to be able to see the stunning Acropolis, and this can serve as a great landmark while you explore the city. Of course, this is the city’s main attraction or ‘must-see’, and with good reason. Not only is it stunningly beautiful, but it the site also provides wonderful panoramas over Athens. Pay a visit to the Acropolis Museum while you are there.
The National Archaeological Museum is another superb and interesting attraction with enough Greek artifacts on display that it would take a good half-day (at least) to see them all. The Theatre of Dionysus is a stone auditorium from the fourth century BC, which, although now in ruins, is hauntingly atmospheric and well worth seeing.
You can walk around Athens, but to get a little further afield your best option is with Athens Greek Car Hire.
